Last week was such a crazy week. At PriceSmart foods we held our 4th annual BCCH Golf Tournament and with great success. The first set of numbers is looking like we hit the $20,000 mark again this year. This is so exciting considering the obstacles we faced with the economy etc. I am so proud to be apart of raising such funds every year for very  worthy cause. Health BC is growing and helping more local children because of community fundraising like this one. Thanks PriceSmart and all the Sponsors and Golfers!! You are Simply the Best!

Saturday I took my daughter out for a mommy and daughter day. It was so wonderful. We had manicures and pedicures, went for lunch and shopped. We finished the day off with getting her a new haircut and she loves it. The hairdresser styled it a little more grown up and now she is ready for middle school.

Sunday we took a drive to Harrison Lake and had an ice cream. We then drove up to Hicks Lake where the kids saw the campground we stayed at when their daddy and I first started camping. It was neat to be up there after so many years. Derek took a swim and Jessica skipped some rocks and danced in her bare feet. I never get tired of watching them do this at the beach. After some fun in the sun and a wack of pictures taken, we drove the scenic route to Mission to take in a movie. We ended the great day with a stop at the Yellow Barn in Yarrow for some fresh peas, raspberries, cherries, and blueberries. A wonderful family day with lots of laughs. My heart runnith over:)

On a Heritage Makers note….as usual I am having a great time. I just received tonight at least a dozen scrap pages, a post card and a couple gift pages. It was so exciting to go to the mail box and see my completed pages. I love this online Studio program! I  am hooked. I hope to try modge podging a scrap page onto a house tile this month. It is so much fun creating keepsakes this way. I also received my template of favorite quotes that I will modge podge onto some wood blocks for decoration.

July holds so many birthdays for our family. This weekend we celebrated my daughter Jessica turning 12. She is growing so fast. She spent the week at Church Camp and was away from home on her actual birthday. It was hard to let her go this week but I knew she was having a wonderful time. The day we picked her up was her daddy’s 40th birthday and my best friends birthday. We spent the evening celebrating with family and friends on our deck. It was truly wonderful.
The great thing for me is now that I am a Heritage Maker I can go straight to my laptop and start creating my memories into keepsakes. I needed a relax day after such a busy week. I worked on Jessica’s birthday pages yesterday and I am ready to create some of Andie’s 40th. So easy, so fast. I am almost finished my daughters Disneyland swatch book too. Well that is the truth isn’t it? The end of the school year and the beginning of summer. What a whirlwind of a month. So many wonderful things happened. My daughter finished grade 6 and will be moving on up to middle school this fall. She had her grad field trip and a great birthday party with her friends before they all went off on their summer vacation. Both the kids did great in school. Derek had a super report card just like his sister. Both kids did a fabulous job with their reading this year. I could not be prouder.
On to Canada Day, we spent the weekend with my father, step mother and my brother at the Lynden KOA. It is always a great place to visit. We had a very nice time and the kids had some fun. Today we got home to repack our daughter so she could go off to Church Camp with a very special friend, Aisha. They girls were so excited to connect up there and I know they will have a wonderful week.
For mom it will be a little harder. She will celebrate her actual birthday up there at camp. I can not believe I will not be with her the day she turns 12. She is such a gem.
This week will be busy for me. I will present my new business at my first party. I am excited to show off some of my Heritage Makers Creations. It is truly a wonderful company and I love the products. It is even better that my journey with HM has only begun. So many treasures waiting to for me to create. Then this weekend brings my hubbys 40th birthday. Where has the time gone? I remember him in high school with his long curly hair and his great dance moves. Now he is married with children lol. Along with celebrating Andie’s birthday we also celebrate Niki’s birthday. We always have so much fun. So on to the summer fun that begins with the end of June…
and lets hope for some sun too!!!

That is right I am busy playing away with Heritage Makers Studio www.heartfilledtreasures.ca and as I do that my business is growing. I absolutely love the program and all the papers and embellishments I can use. I love the techniques I am learning and I love how I can keep up with my memory keeping now.
I held my grand opening workshop last week and it was a success. Thank you so much to the wonderful friends that could make it out to see what I am doing. I know how busy you all are and I really appreciated it. Thanks to those who couldn’t make it but sent such wonderful words of encouragement. My cup runnith over:)
I am awaiting my shipment of completed scrap pages and my first canvas print. I am really excited. I have completed 3 more pages this week and I am working on two Disneyland keepsake swatchbooks for my kids. So simple too I am just using a template some talent lady made for us to use!

Anyone who knows me well knows I love to create. I just love starting something and watching it come together and to see it complete. I was a little run down after a busy week at work and have a bit of a cold. I took the time to rest and  play with the Heritage Makers Studio. I just love it! I have created scrap pages in under 10 minutes and now have started swatchbooks of our Disneyland trip from 2008, one for each of the kids to cherish. It is so easy to use and so great. The price point is marvelous, so affordable and I finally feel on top of the memory keeping I want to do. I am awaiting some publish scrap pages, cards and a canvas for my home. It is so wonderful to have them delivered to your door and when you open the box you feel so proud of what you created…hard not to it looks so professional! It truly is a time saving program and a treasure to me!

Well we had another fabulous time down in Deception Pass. It was a great weekend off  fun and relaxation. I managed to put my feet up and read a book, we took in two movies down at the drive in and the kids found there share of wildlife as always. Nothing could be better then that! It truly was hard to pack the trailer back up. I could have spent the whole week out there. The good news is we have a weekend planned with my family down in Lynden, Washington and then in August we will be off to Deception Pass once again. I just can not get enough of that beautiful ocean. My little piece of Heaven on Earth.

It was an early one for me today. I worked at the grocery store at 5am. That is early!! LOL It was so productive and I had so much fun that when I changed into my t shirt to hit the shops on the way home…it was hard not to feel great!
I had some errands to do and I picked up a couple little presents to bring home to everyone… I love that. I had to take an hour nap but when I woke…the smell of a fresh breeze, the sounds of children playing outside, and a warm and fuzzy feeling filled me up. We have some exciting plans for the weekend and I look forward to it all, even the ones that mean some housework. It is supposed to be beautiful all weekend. Mr. Sun is preparing us for camping next week at our usual spot in Deception Pass. I so can not wait!! I can not get enough of the place. Plus a coffee with some Baileys by the ocean watching the family play and laugh is always a good time:)

We are slowly adding some links here to my blog. It is very exciting. We have started to set up our home office and it is nice to get things organised. It always feels so good. I got my business kit from Heritage Makers this week and it arrived in 2 weeks. So quick! I really love the products. I picked up some labels and business cards so Andie can help me set it up. It is lots of fun. I really love spreading the word about these great creative ways to treasure your hreart filled moments. I have been reading so much on the company and stories from other consultants and it is such a pleasure to be a part of something the moves people into that warm fuzy good feeling. Life is an important journey and should be treasured, and for years to come.

I have been having so much fun creating layouts with Heritage Makers Publishing Studio. I just can not seem to get enough. I watch the introduction this week on how to use the studio but truthfully the rest has come so easy. I am so excited to be creating pages for our family albums. I even created a little brag book from our 15th anniversary. I am about to send these new creations off to the publishing and can not wait to receive them and put them in!!
