Despite a lot of colds we managed to make it out for a brief trip around the neighbourhood with the Scherbeys. Here are a few shots from the night:

As most of you know I am looking after the personal care section at PriceSmart foods in Chilliwack. I am having a great time doing this. I look forward to all my work days. There is so much to do (I love to be busy) and I have a real nice variety of work. I love helping people in the isles looking for product or needing assistance in picking out that great new color cosmetics. Best of all I am learning about products I knew nothing about. Today I met our Calia rep. Calia are organic all natural products. There is a curative shampoo and conditioner that makes your hair the softest it has ever been. It is really suppose to be great for damaged/color treated hair. Also we have a pure har gel that is being recommnded for men as they are starting to feel the growing young baldness in men may be because of all the product they now use.(I have not researched that comment) As cool as those items are I learned about some must have items for stocking stuffers and for your home-the Calia essential oils. First Buzz off is a natural mixture for you to use in order to get rid of those nasty mosquito’s during the summer. You can mix a few drops in water (think I will make my own spray bottle full next year) or dab it on in it’s own strength. Second there is a Headache one I think I will by for my hubby and see if we can’t help him naturally. With the headache one you dab a drop above which ever eye area is starting to bother you(be sure not to get in the eye as it will hurt) and you can add a cool cloth to that area to help you feel better. The last, and very important item, is to help with the cold and flu season-Eucalyptus oil. The rep explained that you can open the bottle and take a good smell to clear your sinus areas or dab a drop directly under your nose. We did smell the bottle and not only did it smell wonderful but I could really see it work.  You can put several drops in the humidifier for you or your childs room when sick.

Of course to me the nice thing about these product is that you are not ingesting medication or spraying on any chemicals.

Well last night Niki and Kris met us for appy’s and cocktails and we started to plan what we were going to do in Vegas. We have 4 days and we want to have free time for rest and relaxation and of course some fun! We searched shows and tours. Niki and I saw him when he opened for Celine Dion and we where in stitches. We know the men will love him. We then of course could not give up seeing The Phantom Las Vegas Spectacular

We are still debating about the Grand Canyon tour only because they are like 14-16 hour days. Not too much fun when you are on a brief trip away and come home and go straight back to work for a few days. So as much as I want to see the beauty of that I think we will leave it to a last minute decision.

I have printed out maps and tips and Judy gave me all her notes. There is so much we want to see and do. The hotels, the buffets, the Titanic exibit, the fountains at the Bellagio, and the Lions at MGM or and the Dolphin exhibit at the Mirage. That is only a small list. There is so much to see. It is so much fun travelling. I love seeing new things and places and most of all planning the trip. I think it is so much fun.

The only one disappointment to my and Niki is that after searching and searching can you believe no one seems to have a Las Vegas Scrapbook album out? Crazy….I am thinking I might just have to design one myself. Why not? LOL

Well it was an incredible weekend for most and weather wise you couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful weekend. I was under the weather though and watched the beauty and wind from the couch. A well needed rest for me. I was hoping to get out to the river, see my dads new trailer, and take the kids to the apple farm. Instead we laughed when we could and had a movie/pj day today.

Hmmm…on to the topic at hand….what am I thankful for. Everything really. I have a job I love with people I love which helps me contribute to the provision of a family I love, I have friends to love and love me, I have joy everyday, clothes to keep me warm and a car to get me around. I want for nothing. I am truly thankful. I am appreciative.

I look forward to sharing the up coming joys with my kids-Halloween and Christmas. I look forward to my annual scrapbooking weekend which we are doing up at the Falls again. I also am hoping we can get airfare and take our trip to Vegas with the Lengerts. Life is good.
