What a fabulous day we had today. We spent the day up at Manning Parkhttp://www.manningpark.com/ with the Lengerts celebrating the twins 11th birthday. The day was a surprise for the last few weeks for the boys(their dad spoiled it last night-lol). Jessica and Derek kept the secret so well. It was terrific. The boys were very excited.
The sun was shining and the air so crisp with a nice amount of fresh snow. The roads were good(which makes me happy). We just couldn’t have asked for a better day. The kids all had a marvelous day.
We spent most of the day on the Polar Coasterhttp://www.manningpark.com/winter.snowplay.html but at the end we watched the twins try out their new snowboards. Soon behind them and helping them all the way was little Derek. He has been busy practising on Tony Hawk skateboard for the Wii and will soon be trying out snowboarding on the slopes. He just moves so well. Not far behind him was our Andie who could not wait to talk one of the twins into letting him have a go with their boots and boards. Andie just itches to get into all sports. We love that. Kris gave it a good whirl as well and I can see that it won’t be long until Niki and I watch the kids and the men on the slopes sipping our Baileys and hot chocolate from the sidelines. LOL.
Well that is all for today…this mom is beat and ready to snuggle in with her hunney!
